Teach children
importance of nature and fall in art. Use fine motor skills to create a leave
collage. Teach about warm colors and how science can relate to art.
Allow each child
to choose several leaves and create an image (most likely an animal) from
their observations of leaf size, variance, etc,.
Glue down leaves
using artistic sense of space.

Lesson Sequence:

Prepare room with paper and leaves (10 mins)
Gather children and explain changes in fall (5
mins)
Have children pick out 5 pressed leaves (5
mins)
Give turkey example and show kids quick lesson
as well as pre-made examples (10 mins)
Have children layer and plan paper space with
leaves (5 mins)
Have children glue and adorn projects (10
mins)
